Part of the city of Płońsk. Formerly a village that was the salary of the parish priest of Płońsk.
Archaeological research conducted in 1959-60 found the existence of a settlement from the period of Roman influence (I w. p.n.e.
– IV w. neither.), with traces of houses, lime and iron kilns, and equipment for tanning hides. Among the items found, among others. temple rings made of silver and bronze. Traces of a settlement from the 12th century were also found.
In the local manor belonging to the Wejher family since August 1865 to August 1866 r. Henryk Sienkiewicz was a tutor. Here he wrote his first, the unpublished novel "Victim". W 1963 r. a commemorative plaque was placed on the manor house.
