LEONCIN

Village. The seat of the commune office. Birthplace of Isaac Bashevi-sa Singer (1904-91), Jewish prosaic writing in Yiddish, the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1978 r., from 1935 r. in exile in the USA. Singer spent his childhood in Radzymin.

Parish Church. pw. st. Margaret built in 1881-85 wg proj. Józef Pius Dziekoński, brick, neo-gothic, three-aisle, basilica. Inside from the south. chapel. st. Hubert – the patron saint of hunters, decorated with hunting trophies and a deer antler chandelier. Local pastor – priest Konstanty Kordowski – serves as a nationwide chaplain for hunters. In the main altar there is a painting of St. Margaret with 2 half. 17th century.

In the cemetery there is a wooden chapel. Holy Trinity with 1789 r., moved here from Głusko in 1879 r. Built on an eight-sided plan, single-space. Log construction, boarded, covered with an eight-slope tented roof with shingle.

Monument to those who died for the freedom of their homeland in the years 1918-45 (in the center of the village).
